About Project
exciting opportunities
Sutton Coldfield Sea Cadets was formed on 3rd November 1942 and has operated continually at our site in Sutton Park ever since. The aim of our organisation is to give young people the best possible head start in life using nautical adventure and fun whilst based on the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.
We are looking to build a unique modern base that bring with it a host of new and exciting opportunities for cadets and the community together and putting Sutton Coldfield history on the map.
As well as serving the Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets, the building will have a strong community focus, with a chance for group meetings, youth education, ward meetings, police surgeries and even potential as a wedding venue.
Our History
Time to set new course
Sutton Coldfield Sea Cadets has given young people over multiple generations an outstanding Cadet Experience leading them to enter responsible adulthood with the values of Respect, Loyalty, Commitment, Self-Discipline, Courage, Honesty, and Integrity.
In 1952 our original construction was built and arrangements made for the grand opening.
Our building has served us well for many generations however, the time has come to decommission HMS Sutton and set sail with a new project.
Read more about our history and how we got started and continued to be a real driving force for the young people in Sutton Coldfield.
